HSSKI Days are on Thursdays, January-March

CHECK-IN at Main Lodge 2 – 2nd floor, between 8:15am – 1pm.

Please arrive between these hours to get your ticket order.

Upon check-in lift, lesson & rentals tickets are given.

The Lodge 2 is for open for staying indoors, eating, resting etc.  It is a warmed lodge with tables & chairs to sit and relax.

Arrive minimum 1.5 – 2 hours before lesson time to allow check-in process and gearing up.  If you dont have a lesson, you are welcome to come at early as 8:15am. Slopes open at 9am.

REFUNDS

Lift & Rental tickets sales are final and non-refundable. Tickets are only good for day scheduled. If a situation arises that you cannot use your lift ticket on the scheduled day, please contact HSSKI with at least 24-hours notice to reschedule. You may not reschedule a ticket day-of or after the scheduled day has passed. Unused tickets will be forfeited. Valid for this HSSKI winter season only. 

All lessons are non-refundable. This includes, but is not limited to, Multiweeks, Group Lessons, and Single Day Lessons.

* If you choose not to participate in a lesson that is made available to you, you forfeit the purchase.
* In the event that HSSKI cancels a pre-scheduled lesson, we will reschedule or refund (less 5%) on a case-by-case basis.
* For our multiweek participants who miss a class, we offer a single make-up lesson. Please contact us to schedule make-up lesson.

There is no refund for the missed class or classes.

There is no refunds due to weather.

TRANSACTION FEE

The 5% transaction fee offsets the expenses associated with running HSSKI i.e. CC processing fee, website, software and taxes. We thank you for understanding.

BE RESPONSIBLE

Always stay in control.

People ahead of you have the right of way.

Stop in a safe place for you and others.

Whenever starting downhill or merging, look uphill and yield. Use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.

Observe signs and warnings, and keep off closed trails. Know how to use the lifts safely.

THE HSSKI DAY IS NOT A DROP OFF AND GO. PLEASE STAY ON SITE WITH YOUR CHILDREN.

 

GEAR 101

WHAT TO WEAR

Wear waterproof jacket & pant, gloves, goggles, balaclava, thin wool socks, base underlay.

ProTip for frigid cold days-

  • Dress in many layers. (For example, slim fitting base layers + fleece + puffy jacket + ski jacket)

  • Use Hand and toe warmers 

  • No exposed skin including necks and faces. Use lined balaclavas and fleece neck warmers. 

  • Keep goggles on at all times. 

  • Please wear helmets. They keep in the heat!

  • Make sure child(ren) feet stay warm and dry prior to putting on their ski boots. Wear wool socks designed for skiing.

  • Always have hot breakfast and lunches!  

 

LEVEL DESCRIPTION

  • Level 1 is a never-ever skier  or snowboarder (very beginner)
  • Level 2 (beginner) is working on turning and stopping on the magic carpet and maybe on the beginner lift
  • Level 3 (Intermediate) has ridden lift, working on stops, turns, speed, and more.
  • Level 4 (Advanced) confident skier or snowboarder, advanced skill building

Choose level that best represents student, but instructors may move them if necessary.

DINING

Food services are available for purchase.  Items like, salads, soups, burgers, chicken tenders, fries etc.

Open seating in main lodge & garage area.

Cooking in lodges is prohibited.

KEEP STUFF SAFE

Lockers are available in the main lodge for $$ daily rental.

TABLES

Please be hospitable.

Unattended tables will used. Placing your personal items on table does not reserve the table.  We share the lodge with all attendees (HSSKI and others). If you find guests sitting at table eating or resting, please be welcoming and share.

ITEMS TO BRING

Reminder of some good ideas to bring… food & snacks, water, googles, helmet, equipment, quality ski socks, gloves, pants & jacket, snow boots, money, ice scraper for car windows. When my kiddos were toddlers, we brought blanket for naptime, toys.
